With the COVID-19 pandemic and spring flu season currently on us, it is alerting all communities to the necessities of sanitation and environmental cleanliness. As a company, Softline Solutions focuses on the future of all communities, keeping children safe and healthy while they develop their skills.
We decided to share our standard Playground Cleaning Procedure to assist you:
INSPECT: Check throughout for the playground for any hazards.
REMOVE GARBAGE: Remove garbage and scrape off any gum.
PLAYGROUND SURFACE INSPECTION - UNITARY RUBBER SURFACE: Blow off surface.
PLAYGROUND SURFACE INSPECTION - LOOSE-FILL SURFACE: Rake surface and remove any garbage.
WIPE (FIRST CHECK PLAYGROUND MANUFACTURER'S MAINTENANCE MANUAL): Wipe all the playground apparatus, garbage receptors and signage with detergent and soap. Then repeat the process with approved EPA-registered disinfectant wipes.
PLAYGROUND SURFACE CLEAN - UNITARY RUBBER SURFACE: Power spray the entire surface with a mild detergent.
PLAYGROUND SURFACE DISINFECTION - UNITARY RUBBER SURFACE: Disinfect the surface using a sprayer of hydrogen peroxide (leave on surface area for 2 minutes), follow with a sprayer of vinegar (leave on surface for no longer than 2 minutes) and power spray the entire surface off twice to ensure all cleaner residue has been removed.*
Pour in place rubber surfacing can be better sanitized than a loose-fill surface.
