Soft on Feet.
Kind to Roots.

Not every trail should be asphalt. Flexi Step is Softline’s rubber trail surfacing system for natural environments, golf paths, and park trails where a rigid hardscape surface can feel too harsh, too disruptive, or simply like the wrong fit.

It gives project teams a softer, more flexible, and more permeable alternative designed for natural settings.

Benefit

A more flexible, porous trail surface that is more accessible and fits natural settings better than rigid paving

Why Flexi Step stands out

Built for natural environments

Flexi Step is designed for places where project teams want a path that feels better suited to the landscape. It is softer and less rigid than asphalt or concrete, making it a better match for parks, trails, and outdoor recreation routes.

Permeable by design

Water moves through the surface instead of running across it. That helps Flexi Step function more naturally in outdoor environments where permeability matters.

Better fit around vegetation and roots

The system is positioned for environments where tree roots, vegetation, and natural conditions make rigid paving a less attractive option.

What Flexi Step is designed for

Flexi Step is a strong fit for:

park trails

  • golf course paths

  • natural pathways

  • outdoor routes in environmentally sensitive areas

  • projects where buyers want something softer and more natural than asphalt or concrete.

How the system works

Flexi Step is poured in place as a single 2-inch rubber layer, bonded directly to the prepared sub-base. Rubber granules and a polyurethane resin binder combine to create a flexible, porous surface built for natural environments.

Surface options and visual flexibility

Flexi Step is not limited to one visual look. Finish options can include:

  • recycled rubber surfaces

  • aggregate blends

  • decorative stone additions

  • granite or pea gravel inclusions

  • specialty visual effects such as glow-in-the-dark rocks

That gives project teams room to shape the trail experience both functionally and visually.
